The title for my post today is taken from Jeremiah Johnson, an epic western filmed right here in glorious and now snowbound Utah. What? We are ten days into spring at there is four inches of new snow at my house?
That's right. I know there are those of you out there griping about this, but I kind of like it. It is like the winter is not going to go without a fight: that spring (which hasn't even taken a foothold yet) will just have to lump it a while longer.
As I recall there was a lot of snow in Jeremiah Johnson too.
The fact that spring will ultimately win the fight makes the late snow kind of wondrous, I agree. I was up last night (insomnia) when the storminess really kicked in and it was kind of awesome.
ReplyDeleteNo. It is bad! I will be a snow Scrooge. I'm done. Done! There is nothing good that comes from snow this late. (Yes, I know it's good for the snow pack, and me, with my dehydraphobia, you would think I would appreciate that. But...) I'm sick of it! I want to run outside! I don't like the snow!!
ReplyDeleteI think UTA was done with snow too. They failed to remove the snow from the TRAX platforms and it delayed the trains. This happened before when we had a ton of snow in late March.
ReplyDeletewinter = bad
ReplyDeletespring = good
Gripe gripe gripety gripe.
